Future Fest provides out-of-this-world departure from traditional Halloween
The Marbridge Community will celebrate Halloween in a new and different way on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, by hosting Future Fest, a celebration of future momentum for the 60-year-old organization. The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Villa at Marbridge, located at 2504 Bliss Spillar Road in the Manchaca community. The event features games, music, dance, costumes and more and is open to adults with special needs and their families from the community.
“We have devoted part of this year to celebrating the memories of the past 60 years of our history and to inviting people to come visit and experience the fulfilling life we offer to adults with intellectual disabilities,” said James Stacey, president.

With Future Fest, the emphasis turns from honoring the past to building momentum for the future.
“People who have lived in the Austin area for many years may still think of Marbridge as a Garden Center, which we operated for more than 30 years, and many are likely unaware of our true mission. With a 60-year history behind us, we now look forward to a planned campus revitalization effort that includes the addition of new facilities to better serve adults with special needs.”
