On Saturday, October 12th the Kyle community gathered in honor of Pastor James Jacobs and First Lady Louise Jacobs in celebration of Clergy Appreciation Day. Pastor Jacobs was further distinguished with an official proclamation bestowed by City Council Member David Wilson on behalf of Mayor Lucy Johnson, declaring that October 12 will be Pastor James Jacobs Day. Council Member Becky Selbera, Bishop Charles N. Moore, community members and Word of Life Christian Center family attended the luncheon to share fellowship, anecdotes and appreciation for the contributions made to the church and community at large by the honoree.
