Everett L. Martin, Sr. age 98, passed away on Dec. 1, 2013. He was born in Cheyenne, Oklahoma on March 14, 1915 to John and Mabel Martin.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Modean Tolbert Martin. He is survived by his two sons, Melvin Martin (wife, Sandra) of San Antonio, and Luke Martin (wife, Laurie) of Kyle; four grandchildren, Kevin Martin, Kim Martin Till (husband Matt), John Martin and Abigail Martin; and two great-grandchildren, Madeline Till and Cameron Till.
Everett was a farmer in the Rio Grande Valley all of his life. He and Modean moved to Kyle in 1994. He had resided at Regent Care nursing center in San Marcos for the past two years. He was a good and humble man.
