About 20 runners and walkers of all ages braved freezing temps on Thanksgiving morning to participate in Manchaca’s Copper Hills neighborhood’s annual Turkey Trot, which is open to residents of Chaparral Park and other local communities. The morning included a kids’ 1k and a 5k for anyone crazy enough to run (or walk). Many trotters also donated canned goods for the Hays County Food Bank.
