We wanted rain and we sure got it. Many folks got a lot more than they would have liked. Does seem that when it rains, it pours! A heartfelt thanks goes out to the police departments, fire departments, emergency personnel and the many volunteers that have helped those in need. We will all need to in pitch so that all receive the help they need.

Thanks to the many people who attended the Onion Creek Senior Citizens Recognition Dinner last Saturday night. It was a wonderful evening and all the contributions to the senior center were very appreciated. We especially want to thank Silverado Memory Care Community of Austin, along with their chef for providing the delicious dinner and to Duchman Family Winery in Driftwood. We had many volunteers who worked extremely hard decorating and serving the meal. Our seniors are very blessed to have such generous cooperation from the community. Thanks to all.

Time again for First Thursday in downtown Buda this Thursday, Nov. 7. Many activities are planned and the local businesses will stay open late for shopping, so come on down.
Be sure to fly your American flag on Monday, Nov. 11 in honor of Veteran’s Day to show your support of our soldiers of yesterday and today.
