Santa Claus is coming to your ‘hood
The annual Kyle Fire Department Santa neighborhood ride-throughs take place starting Dec. 11 and ending Dec. 22. A fire truck will bring Santa to the neighborhoods in Kyle at approximately 6 p.m. each night; be sure to come out and wave hello.

Holiday blood drives
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with The Blood Center of Central Texas to host blood drives this holiday season. Blood donations go to area hospitals including Seton Hays Medical Center in Kyle and Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos.

Location: Hays County Government Center, San Marcos, Conference Rooms 1 & 2

Time: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Cabela’s Parking Lot Buda

Basic requirements to donate blood are: must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 115 lbs. and be in generally good health. Donors must bring a photo ID. The process takes approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Donors are encouraged to eat a good meal before donating blood.
