Adopt-a-Soldier program at Negley allows kids to share

Negley Elementary School third-grade students assembled gift bags for soldiers Friday afternoon. After decorating brown paper bags with Christmas wishes, pictures and holiday greetings, the students selected five items to include.

Students and their families donated hundreds of individually wrapped snack items, including Rice Krispie treats, chips, beef jerky and more. The project was organized by teacher Jodie Meyer, who worked along side fellow teachers including April Starnes. Here are Sgt. Dustin Shuler, with his wife, third grade teacher Breante Shuler.
