95 years of growth and change for Manchaca Baptists

Manchaca Baptist Church will celebrate 95 years of service this Sunday. First organized with Rev. Webb Townsley in 1918 at FM 1626 and Deane Road, the church has been through multiple buildings and moves over its long history. Now at FM 1626 near Lowden Lane, the 40,000 square-foot facility, destroyed by fire before it even opened in 2001, has been in operation since 2004.
