The Hays County Sheriff’s Office’s is participating in the Arrive Alive Central Texas’ July 4th initiative. It begins 6 p.m, Wednesday, July 3, and continue until 6 a.m., Sunday, July 7. During this time deputies with the Hays County Sheriff’s Office will be targeting aggressive driving, distracted driving, and driving under the influence violations on roadways in Hays County.
This will also be a zero tolerance and no refusal long weekend in Hays County.
Arrive Alive Central Texas is a group of 17 law enforcement agencies that aim to reduce the number of collisions in Central Texas and increase motorist safety. This includes collisions involving intoxicated, distracted, and aggressive driving, along with all accidents that cause serious bodily injury.
