Art Unhitched art market



Art UnHitched takes place the second Saturday of each month. Browse booths where local artists will have their work for sale, enjoy live music and performance artist and dine on the culinary arts of the food trailers at The Hitch: A Mobile Eatery. The next Art Unhiteched will be held at 312 E. Hopkins in San Marcos on July 13.

- Charles S. Cock House Museum and Merriman Cabin, (Heritage Association of San Marcos), 400 E. Hopkins Street, Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.


- Historical Exhibits sponsored by the Hays County Historical Commission


- Hays County Courthouse, 111 East San Antonio Street, Saturday and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.


- Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos, 211 Lee Street, Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 1-5 p.m.


- Johnnie Armstead’s Calaboose, African American History Museum, corner of Martin Luther King Dr, Fredericksburg St., Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday 1-5 p.m.


- LBJ Museum of San Marcos, 131 North Guadalupe,  Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday 1-5 p.m.


- Central Texas Wing, Commemorative Air Force (San Marcos Municipal Airport) Saturday 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., Sunday 1-5 p.m.


 



Saturday Gallery Trail in Wimberley


Visit Wimberley during Second Saturday Gallery Trail and join the celebration, as Wimberley Fine Arts Center celebrates its one year anniversary.  Enjoy a festive evening of beer, barbecue and live music in the courtyard. Bent Tree Gallery will be keeping it fresh in this mid-summer heat, with new faces and new art. Other participating galleries include:  Pitzer’s Fine Arts, Under One Roof, Imagine and SongBrush Gallery.  Look for the banners, pick up a map at any gallery, and enjoy the tour. Visit participating galleries from 4 - 7 p.m. on July 13 in Wimberley.


 


50 plus Game Day in San Marcos


What is Mexican Train Dominoes? Come join other 50-plus-year-olds for games and fun to find out. Light refreshments and game materials for Bridge, Mexican Train Dominoes, Hand & Foot, and 42 will be provided. Bring a potluck lunch item or snack to share. Games run Mondays (except for holidays) from 12:30-4 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, Meeting Room 1. These game days are free.
