Our beloved Alberto R. Martinez,Sr., age 100, resident of Buda, was called by our Heavenly Father to his eternal home on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He was preceded in death by wife Maria Martinez; daughter Amelia Tello; sons Martin Martinez, Pete Martinez, Albert Martinez Jr. and Carlos Martinez; his grandsons Rickey Guerrero, Larry Turk, Lupe Martinez; one granddaughter Nancy Martinez; sister Paz Zamora; brother Lon Martinez.
He is survived by children Josie Acosta, Dominga Pastrano, Enedina Guajardo, Caroline Lopez, Mary Alice Guerrero; 50 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren; one sister Janie Maldonado.
Recitation of Holy Rosary was held Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the Mission Funeral Home Remembrance Chapel 1 East Cesar Chavez in Austin. Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday morning, May 8, 2013 at San Francisco Catholic Church. Interment followed at Assumption Cemetery in Austin. Serving as pallbearers were his grandsons. Special thanks to Joyce Ontieveros for her loving care she gave to Mr. Martinez.
