Betty Jo Jobson, 58, Buda resident for 27 years, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Betty was born in Bremond, Texas, May 29, 1954, to Edward and Verna Berezoski. Betty retired from St. Davids Medical Center in 2009 and most currently worked at Sprouts Farmers Market. Gardening, dogs, spirituality and chasing after her granddaughter were great passions for Betty. She loved to prepare meals that included homegrown ingredients. She rescued and provided better lives to many dogs from the local PAWS shelter. She gave much of her time to the Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda and was an active member of the Altar Society.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Kort. She is survived by daughter, Melissa Laws; son, Mathew Jobson; granddaughter Genevieve Jobson, and her beloved dogs Billy Bob and Lucy.
A memorial mass was held Friday, May 3 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PAWS Animal Shelter and Humane Society (www.pawsshelter.org). The family would like to thank Hospice Austin and Angel Healthcare for the care they provided Betty in her final days.
