Family Nights at the Library
Parents and children are invited to enjoy Family Nights at the San Marcos library this summer. Featured events include puppet shows, visits from San Marcos firefighters and concerts for kids. There are also puppet shows, arts and crafts, musicians such as Marilisa, The Waggle Taggle Gypsy, a registered dietician and more. Family Nights begin at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in June-July. They are free and open to the public.
Heart of Texas Chorus heads north, needs support
Help send the Heart of Texas Chorus (H.O.T.) to Toronto in July to represent the Southwestern United States at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Chorus and Quartet competitions. H.O.T. is comprised of men from throughout the Central Texas corridor. This will be their ninth appearance at the International competition, referred by some as “the world series of Barbershop Harmony competition.” The group will perform “Road to Toronto” at 3 p.m. June 2 at the University Presbyterian Church in Austin.
