Laurence Lincoln Lehman, Jr. (1931-2013)


Laurence Lincoln Lehman, Jr., age 82 of Buda, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013.


Larry served in the Air Force and played in the Air Force Band. He attended the Diesel Mechanic Training at Oklahoma A & M University and began working for the Western Company, an oil well service company. When he and LaVern relocated to Austin, he started his own business, Larry’s VACU-Clean, Inc. for the last 25 years. He and LaVern were members of Manchaca Baptist Church for many years and currently are members of Westoak Woods Baptist Church where he also enjoyed singing in the choir. He was a volunteer with Heart to Heart Hospice for the past 1 ½ years and served at the Baptist soup kitchen for many years. Larry was an avid fan of OU and Texas A&M.


Larry is survived by his wife of 38 years, LaVern Lehman, of Buda. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Barbour of Houston; son, Laurence L. Lehman, III & wife Lisa of Houston; son, John Laurence Lehman & wife, Erica of Leander; step-son Philip Porter and wife Vicky of McKinney, Texas; six grandchildren; and a large number of extended family.


Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Westoak Woods Baptist Church in Austin, TX. Burial followed at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westoak Woods Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
