Authorities have released photographs and are asking the public for help in identifying a man suspected in the aggravated robbery of the Hays City Store and Café in Driftwood on Thursday.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., Oct. 10, a man displaying a gun and dressed in all black clothing entered the Hays City Store and Café and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect’s face was concealed and law enforcement has not offered any further description of the man or if any vehicle was used during the incident.
After the suspect took the cash, he left the establishment, located at 8995 FM 3237, and was lost sight of by the store’s clerk.
Calls to the store were unsuccessful as two listed phone numbers for the establishment are now disconnected.
No further information has been released by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division at (512) 393-7814.
