At the eighth annual Talent Show at Chapa Middle School on Oct. 24, 13 acts performed for the judges. There was singing, dancing and Mariachi. Sixth grader Hannah Royal, right, took the first place slot for her rendition of “On My Own.” In addition to being a fun-filled evening for Chapa families, the school collected more than 90 cans of food and more than $200 for the Hays County Food Bank.
