Adelene Edith Louise Heideman Wisian (1926-2013)

Adelene Edith Louise Heideman Wisian was born on July 19, 1926 in Uhland, Texas. She was the daughter of Gustav and Ella Maria Kraemer Heideman. Adeline was washed in waters of Holy Baptism on November 3, 1926, at her home in Uhland. She confirmed her baptismal vows in 1940.

On December 14, 1946, she was married to Alfred Wisian. This marriage was blessed with two children, Alan Wisian (deceased, Nov. 1, 2008) and Beverly Wisian Kleen.

Adelene lived in San Marcos for most of her life. She was a devoted wife and mother, and served as a housewife throughout her life. She very much enjoyed time with her family, spending time out of doors, and fishing. She was a life-long member of St. John Church, in Uhland (now St. John Lutheran Church). Here she was active in the Women’ s Guild. She also volunteered her services at the Visitor’s Center of Central Texas Medical Center. She was a member of Hermann Sons and the American Legion Womens Guild. She was a resident of Regent Care Center in San Marcos, when the Lord called her home on May 10, 2013.

Surviving Adelene are Beverly and Danny Kleen (daughter and son-in-law) of Buda, Brenda Wisian (daughter-in-law), Doug and Melissa Kleen (grandson and wife), David and Amanda Wisian (grandson and wife), Kristy and Richard Saxon (granddaughter and husband), Laura and Scott Thompson (granddaughter and husband), Faith, Brooke, Emma, Téa, Fiona and Abigale (all great-granddaughters), and Clarence Heideman (brother).

Funeral services were held Monday, May 20, 2013, at Thomason Funeral Home followed by burial at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. John Lutheran Church, 20 N. Camino Real (Hwy 21) Uhland, TX 78640.
