Mark Louis Moreno was a 24-year-old resident of Kyle and a graduate of Hays High School and Texas State University. He was a member of Tau Beta Sigma at Texas State. Mark dreamed of pursuing a career in the culinary arts and hoped to continue to work for his father in video production. Mark passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013. He fought his Leukemia until the very end with his family by his side.
Mark had a passion for music and food. So many people remember Mark for often bursting into song at the most random times. He always had the funniest and craziest stories. We will all miss his plethora of knowledge of useless trivia facts.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father and mother, Louis and Terri Moreno; his sister Melissa Broccolo and husband Joey; his sister Michelle Moreno; his two nieces Mia and Liliana Broccolo; his paternal grandparents, Ignacio and Tommie Moreno; his maternal grandmother, Josephina Arriola, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Trinidad Arriola.
The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 23 at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle. A Mass will celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 24 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda with Father Kirby Garner as the celebrant. Burial to follow.
