Peyton Perry, 8, of Kyle, has too many books. Or so her proud papa, Lee, said his daughter recently decided.
“She informed us she would like to have a book sale and donate the profits to a good cause,” Perry wrote in an email recently.
On her own, he said Peyton determined the Paws Shelter and Humane Society, a no kill shelter in Kyle, would be the best place to donate 100 percent of the proceeds from her book sale.
“My daughter had initially planned to set up the book sale in our driveway,” Perry said, “but upon hearing of her plans, the staff at PAWS graciously offered to let her set up her sale at the shelter.”
This Saturday, Peyton will sell her books from 1-3 p.m. at the PAWS shelter, located at 500 FM 150 East near Lehman Rd. Prices will range from $1-$5. A donation jar will be available as well.
