Donna Marice Durham Perkins, a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, and best friend with a kind heart and gentle spirit, passed away Sunday, February 28th, 2021 in Buda Texas at the age of 65.
Donna was born to Rita and Donald Durham in Austin Texas on March 11, 1955. She was one of five children. Donna, being born and raised in Austin, absorbed and exuded everything representing Austin's lifestyle. She loved to laugh, displayed a gentle kindness as well as a fiery presence that did not nix words. When Donna would state, "Put that in your pipe and smoke it", you knew you were in trouble. She was a best friend and could talk for hours. She was a confidant who never spilled the secrets of others. Donna was warm and loving. When she loved you, you knew you were truly loved. Donna was a talented painter who appreciated many forms of artwork, she enjoyed putting together puzzles, journaling, tending her flower garden, bird watching, and taking care of her dog, Stormy. She loved tulips and found the value of a simple red rose. Donna had a big heart. She had much concern for her loved ones and friends. Donna prayed for everyone and exemplified forgiveness.
Donna is survived by her husband Daniel Perkins, her children; Tonya Voudouris, Crystal Gilpin and her husband Johnny, Kimberly Voudouris and Chris Voudouris and her beloved dog Stormy, as well as her grandchildren: Micah, William, Skyler, Preston, DeVanie, Aschley, Zachary, Jessica, Shiii, Baby John, Carly, Emerson, Bambi Jeanine, and Avianna, including 6 great-grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her brother Don "Bubba" Durham. Donna also leaves behind her siblings: Karen Scott, Roy Durham, and wife Holly Durham and Gaylon Durham and wife Pauli Durham. Pallbearers are as followed Chris Voudouris, Roy Durham, Gaylon Durham, Micah Sutton, Larry Clopton, and Chris Garza. Please keep Donna's family in your prayers as they heal from their loss.
Please join us in celebrating Donna's Amazing life at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 at Harrell Funeral Home, 1715 Kirby, Kyle, TX 78640. A viewing will be held at 12:00 pm until 1 pm. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park in Austin.
