Following the flooding rains that devastated much of Hays County, several roads remain closed due to high water and damage left behind.
Hays County’s Emergency Management team is conducting an initial damage survey and will update officials on their findings late Friday afternoon, according to a county news release.
The three emergency shelters opened in Hays County – Buda, San Marcos and Wimberley – were closed Thursday as evacuees were allowed back into their neighborhoods.
The county’s Emergency Operations Center was deactivated at about noon Thursday.
Road closure statuses are available at www.HaysInformed.com. Information is being updated around the clock as authorities assess the flooding aftermath.
