Our beloved Tom G."Beetle" Gamboa, age 71, resident of Buda, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 26, 2013.
Mr. Gamboa is survived by his loving wife Alice Marie Gamboa; sons; Christopher Thomas Garcia Gamboa (Cynthia) and Tom Anthony Gamboa, brothers; Mario Gamboa (Alesia), Chaleo Gamboa(Christina); sister; Margaret Guerrero (Charles); grandchildren; Jacob Garcia Gamboa, Andrew Garcia Gamboa, and Leah Garcia Gamboa; Stepchildren; Jesse T. Diaz, Bobby Joe Diaz, Sr. (Stacy), Amelia Marie Rodriguez (Mike), Angela Rene Conde (Paul); 11 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Micaela Gamboa, sister; Yolanda Samaniego, brothers; Charlie, Arthur Joe, and Ernesto Gamboa; grandmothers; Carmen Gonzales and Paula Gamboa, grandfathers; Arturo Gonzales and Esteban Gamboa.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Albert Gonzales, Robert Hidrogo, Joe Herrera, Lee Sontoya, Johnny Rios, Cirillo Sanchez, Edward Urias, Tony Vela, Tony Guzman, and "Best Man" Ernesto Vela.
Mr. Gamboa will lie in state at 12 p.m., Wednesday with a 6 p.m. funeral service at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street (South). Graveside services will follow at a later time.
