Fall Story Festival at San Marcos Library
Wear your costume & join the Texas State University Student Reading Council for stories, crafts, and face painting. Celebrate fall with the Texas State University Student Reading Council. Their goal is to promote literacy at the local, state and national level. The festival will offer fun for all ages. Takes place from 10 - 11:30 a.m. Oct. 26 at the San Marcos Public Library.

Country dancing at Hays YMCA Put your boots on and grab your hat and head on over to the Hays YMCA for free Country Dancing on Friday, Oct. 25. Dance starts at 7 p.m. and will end at 9:45 and is for age 16 and up. Be sure your boots (or shoes) have leather soles, as that is required. |
Harvest Moon Celebration in Boerne Halloween comes early this year as the Harvest Moon Celebration marks its seventh year treating families to a free afternoon of family-friendly festivities on the grounds of the Historic Kingsbury-Shumard house. Enjoy games, food, music, a pumpkin pie eating contest, a photo booth, puppet show and more. Costumes are encouraged. The day ends with the Trail of the Night Flyers. Takes place noon-8 p.m. Oct. 26. |
Howling Moon Concert and Benefit This event includes concerts by Austin musicians Kit Holmes and Bob Cheevers, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, raffle prizes, along with silent and live auctions. Auction items include a stay at a condo in Vail, CO, and a ride in an RV-7 experimental aircraft with Cmdr. Dan Brandenstein, who retired to Blanco after leading the space shuttle program for NASA. The event is at Unity Church in Wimberley and is open to the public 5-9 p.m., with a $25 entry fee to benefit Operation Good Shepherd. For more information visit www.unityofwimberley.com. |
Get your boo on in Boo-Da Kids of all ages can dress up and head to downtown Buda this Saturday for the annual Boo-Da Halloween. Sponsored by local businesses (that hand out candy and other treats), the event offers a fun time for everyone. Main Street will be closed during the event. Boo-Da Halloween takes place from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 26 in historic downtown Buda. |
Pink Heals 5k and tailgate rally The Pink Heals 5K is sponsored by Central Texas Medical Center and the San Marcos Professional Fire Fighters’ Association.
