Steven Graham Dinderman, 72, of Buda, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away on March 14, 2013.He was born on September 28, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to John and Elaine Dinderman. In 1958, he graduated from Jefferson High School. It was there that he met the love of his life, Marsha Erickson, whom he married on October 6, 1962. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1963, and was honerably discharged, with the rank of Sergeant, in 1969.Ten years later,the family relocated to Austin.
Steve was a dedicated U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier for 37 years. In 1984 and again in 1994, he received Special Achievement Awards for his excellent performance. He retired from there in 2003. Following his retirement, he enjoyed working part time at ERA Millenium Reality, and presently was working for Gehan Homes. Throughout his life, Steve loved music, playing his guitar, golfing, playing pool and poker. He also had a passion for Classic muscle cars, especially his ‘72 Olds Cutlass. All his life, he loved riding motorcycles and owned several. Spending time with family was the thing he loved most. Other than that, he was happiest riding through the Hill Country on his Harley.
Steve is survived by and will live forever in the hearts of his wife Marsha of 50 years, son Dane and his wife Debbie, of Houston; daughter Dyan Weber of Buda; son Derek and his wife Kelley, of Austin; grandchildren Erica, Dalton, Danae, Sean, Danielle, and Ramona, and younger brothers Mike of Iowa and Gregg of Massachusetts.
A memorial service will be held on Sat. April 6 at 3 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle.
