Starlight Symphony Orchestra
Come experience the magic of Christmas with the Starlight Symphony Orchestra on Dec. 22, at the Hays Performing Arts Center at 4 p.m. The program includes pieces by Mozart, Handel, Irving Berlin, and many other family favorites. A special guest star will delight and thrill the children as they experience the magic of Christmas through the music.
Santa, it’s too loud
Puppet shows are always fun for families with little ones. The library puppeteers present “Too Much Noise at Santa’s House,” a fun holiday story just right for children ages two and up. Children’s librarian Ashley Schimelman and the popular library puppeteers will perform shows at 10 and 11 a.m. and again at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 and two more shows at 10 and 11 a.m. Dec. 20.
The Night Before Christmas
The Hays CISD & Take a Bow production of “The Night Before Christmas” will be showing at 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 20-21 at the Hays Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $12 at the door or $10 for pre-orders from www.takeabow productions.com. Call 512-761-3533 for more info.
Trail of Lights
Buda’s Stagecoach Park will host a mile-long display of 50 illuminated exhibits that run through the park. The event is free to the public and there will be a free shuttle that loops from Cabela’s to Stagecoach Park, and to downtown Main Street and back. Concessions will be available for purchase. The Trail of Lights will be open until Dec. 22, 6-10 p.m.
