Mia (center, above) spends time with her new “family” before a Hays Highfootball game, getting make-up done and going through the routines. After the Hays High Highsteppers “adopted” Mia, a local young girl who suffers from a serious systemic disorder, the group was honored by the Central Texas charity “Champions4Children.” Young Mia wanted to be part of the Hays Highsteppers – and they granted the wish big time. She and her sister were taken into the Highstepper family, participating in pep rallies and game appearances, doing their hair and make-up before her game appearance and more.
