Amparo Payne, a mail carrier ran into an unexpected predicament at the corner of Blanco and Meyer Streets on Monday afternoon. Kyle Police believe she was attempting to turn right onto Blanco Street. However, the driver cut the turn too close, and was caught on a steep drop off on the inside of the turn, flipping the jeep on its side. Payne was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge Hospital in Austin and released Tuesday. While concerned for his employee, Kyle Postmaster Steve Seely was on scene, helping pick up the mail from Payne’s route. Seely made arrangements to ensure the mail would be delivered that day.
