Four months after the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce lost its director to a North Texas firm, the group hired a new leader slated to take the chief executive officer seat in September.
Julie Snyder, who served as Vice President and Director of Operations for the California/Nevada/Arizona Automotive Wholesalers’ Associations for the past decade, will take the KACC top job next month.
“The chamber of commerce plays an important role in creating a strong local economy and fostering growth and diversity in the community,” Snyder said in a statement. “I have a strong passion for local chambers and look forward to providing value to chamber members during this exciting time of growth for the community of Kyle.”
Snyder began her career working for chambers of commerce and has experience in chamber management, including working for the Reno-Sparks, Nevada Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona State Chamber of Commerce and the Roseville, California Chamber of Commerce, according to her résumé.
“We are pleased to have Ms. Snyder step into this leadership role for the chamber,” said Cale Baese, KACC Board President. “We welcome her and her husband and look forward to her contribution to the community.”
Snyder is a graduate of the Academy Program through the Western Association of Chamber Executives, serves on the council for the California Society of Association Executives, and is married and has two children.
In her most recent position with the multi-state automotive wholesalers’ association, Snyder was responsible for all operations of the three-state trade association where she represented companies like AutoZone, Napa Auto Parts, and O’Reilly Auto Parts, as well as international car parts manufacturers like Robert Bosch Corporation and Gates Rubber Company, among other businesses.
KACC’s mission is to “promote, empower and be a valuable resource to the business community and chamber members,” according to their website, as well as position Kyle as a tourism location and “ideal place to live.”
