The Hays County 4-H program celebrated their annual awards night on August 10 at the Old Kyle City Hall, honoring members, adult volunteers and businesses for their service. The Tractor Supply Company Store received a service award for its support of the 4-H program, and Lois LaCaze received one of only two 2013 state Leader Legacy awards. Bari Conley, Becky Hawkins, Jeff Elam and Dawn Lener were also recognized as volunteers. Araya Feeney and Konleigh Eben received Bronze Stars, Miliano Mikol and Malia Mikol, received Silver Stars, and Haley White and Kaitlyn Eben received Gold Stars. Star Award recipients must meet determined criteria in the areas of leadership, community involvement, and overall active 4-H involvement.
