International Games Day
The Buda Public Library will offer the International Games Day along with hundreds of libraries around the globe joining in the American Library Association initiative.
Patrons can play family-friendly favorites like Sorry! or learn fun, new games like Yu-Gi-Oh!
Nick Panjwani, a Texas State University student and long time Yu-Gi-Oh! player, will teach how to play the game.
The library will also participate in the Global Gossip Game, where a secret phrase is passed from one person to another.
International Games Day will be from 2-4 p.m. Nov. 16 in the meeting room at the Buda Public Library. The Global Gossip Game will be played from 3-3:30 p.m.
Veterans Day program at Hays CISD PAC
Elm Grove Elementary students will present “A Salute to Veterans” at 6:30 p.m., Nov. 18 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public and all area veterans are encouraged to attend.

C. – New York City history trip through the World Strides Organization in June. Each student’s trip costs $2,200. Wrapping takes place from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at Fellowship Church at Plum Creek (across from Barton Middle School).
