Rebel momentum is building, now 2-0

The Hays Rebels boys basketball team improved to 2-0 Friday, defeating the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs at Bales Gymnasium.


The Rebels took the game with a 81-76 victory over the Bulldawgs, led by junior forward Heath Agnew. The team


scored an average of 76.5 points between its two games.



Agnew scored 19 points on the game. Jacob Rodriguez and Jake Kafka followed Agnew, scoring 14 and 12 points respectively.

The Rebels are 1-0 at home and have not played a conference game yet. The team looks ahead to the tournament against FEAST HomeSchool Friday, followed by a tournament against Seven Lakes the same day.
