The Lehman Lady Lobos faced off against the Alamo Heights Lady Mules at Lehman High Dec. 20. Despite an energetic game in front of their home crowd, the Lobos weren’t able to pull out a win, losing 41-53.
After the game, Lady Lobos head coach Jamie Coy said her team needs to be more aggressive, more prepared to “stop the driving kick” and better prepared to stop the drive.
The Lady Lobos had an average one-foot height disadvantage to the Mules, who found it easier to block the Lobos than the other way around.

Throughout the game, the Lady Lobos suffered from sloppy passing, a bit of poor dribbling and foul troubles. The Lady Mules took over the game in the second half by being more aggressive and capitalizing on every opportunity they had to score.
The Lady Mules scored in 25 out of 33 free throw attempts, compared to the Lobos 9 out of 15 possible points. However, Lehman outshined the Mules in three pointers, as the Lobos scored 4 out of 17 attempts compared to 2 out of 8 for the Mules.
Olivia Marzullo was the high-scoring Lobo with 15 points, followed by Rosalyn Walker with 12 points. Mikaela Mabry was the high scorer for the Lady Mules with 15 points, followed by Emily Kershner with 14 points to her credit.
Both teams were even at 23 turnovers each.
