Clean your closets to warm a child
Main Street Dental in Buda will be a donation drop off site for gently used or new winter coats for the Coats for Kids project of the Austin Junior League. Each year, Hays County receives 7,000 coats for children in need. The address is 108 S. Main Street in Buda. Office hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Fridays. The donation drive runs through Dec. 6.
Pearl Harbor Day Veterans Recognition
The Kyle/Buda VFW Post 12058 is hosting the MSgt. Glenn W. Reynolds Memorial Pearl Harbor Day Veterans Recognition Lunch at the Kyle Area Senior Zone Center at Old City Hall, 201 W. Center Street in Kyle. Lunch includes sausage wraps, cole slaw, beans, potato salad, chips and a soda. The post will also honor its annual Patriot’s Pen, Voice of Democracy and Teacher of the Year recipients. The luncheon takes place Dec. 7 and is free for all Veterans.
