Cocoa & Carols in Luling


Local shops will stay open late for hot cocoa, holiday shopping, caroling and a visit from Santa. The event runs 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Dec. 13 at shops throughout Luling. Vote for your favorite hot chocolate and enjoy the local wares.



 Lighted Yule Trail in Luling


Drive the Yule Trail to see more than 100 lighted signboards and an antique giant Santa. The Trail will be available from 6-10 p.m. through Jan. 1, 2014 on David St. in downtown Luling.



Winter Wonderland


Head out to Fredericksburg Art Gallery this Friday for the opening of “Winter Wonderland,” an array of miniature paintings and other works of art by gallery artists inspired by the spirit of the season. The display opens at 10 a.m. Dec. 6. Hot chocolate, marshmallows, hot apple cider and homemade cookies will be served. The gallery closes at 6 p.m. Friday so everyone can enjoy the Annual Lighted Christmas Parade in downtown Fredericksburg. 



The BEST Art Tour


San Marcos galleries and art studios will host a free art tour on Dec. 7. The BEST Art Tour invites the public to explore the San Marcos art scene through an array of artists and the galleries, studios, homes and pop-up spaces they inhabit. Participation in the tour is free for both site hosts and attendees. Art will be available for purchase at some sites, while others will be sharing artist demonstrations, private art collections and time-based performances. Participating sites will be open from 1-5 p.m. on Dec. 7.
