Frances Jean Gibson Turner, 70, of Buda, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, in Kyle, after a brief battle with cancer. Jeannie, as everyone called her, was born August 3, 1942, in Pleasanton, Texas. She was a graduate of Pleasanton High School Class of 1960 and Draughons Business College.
She and Charles Turner were married in January of 1966 and were long time residents of the Austin/Buda area.
Jeannie will be greatly missed by husband Charles Turner, stepdaughter Suzanne Schuchart and husband Pat, their children Christopher and Katie Schuchart, her sister Dotty Meredith and husband Jerry, and nephew Dustin Meredith. She also leaves behind brother-in-law Curtis Turner and wife Carolyn, niece Carri Turner and husband Brian and many dear cousins, and friends that will miss her as well.
She is predeceased in death by her parents, Orval and Mary Gibson of Pleasanton.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday April, 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton. Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 20 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. There will be a graveside service at the Pleasanton Cemetery immediately following.
