At the Dec. 19 Kyle Police Blue Santa distribution at Wallace Middle School, 237 kids and 76 families received bikes and other Christmas gifts; volunteers also gave out 44 meals. Participants in Kyle’s Blue Santa program, which happens annually, were comprised of the Kyle Police Employee Association, along with the Kyle Chain Reaction Food Panty, Kyle Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association, police officers, wives of officers, department employees and citizens of Kyle.
