Joseph "Joe" Arnold Head, 56, passed away on September 22, 2013. Joe was born August 23, 1957 in Houston and lived most of his adult life at Marbridge, a facility which provides residential care to adults with intellectual disabilities. Joe was affectionately known as “The Mayor of Marbridge.” Joe was a gentle soul and loved people, bowling, movies, and was without a doubt one of the University of Texas’ biggest fans. Joe always had a smile and a big hug for everyone.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Davis Head, and mother, Jane Arnold Head. He is survived by his brother, J.D. Head and wife, Debbi; sisters Lannie Whatley and husband, Don; Julie Head
Thurmond and husband, Bob; and Lisa Head, as well as nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to everyone at Marbridge for the love and care provided to Joe through the years, and to the staff at Seton Hays Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston, Texas. Memorial
