Daniel Perez Jr. of Buda, passed on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the age of 78. He fought a courageous battle with many medical issues. He was born in Del Rio, Texas to Daniel and Bertha Perez. He attended Sacred Heart Academy and St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. He enlisted in the Air Force and honorably served our country for 23 years. He fought in the Vietnam War where he flew B52s as a radar technician. He met the love of his life Irene Vasquez Perez and they were married for 57 years.
He is survived by his spouse Irene and four children; David Perez and spouse Katrina of Santa Barbara, Daniel Perez of Atlanta, Rebecca Perez Alvarado and spouse David of Austin, Tina Perez Rodriguez of Austin; eight grandchildren; Kristina, Joey, Alyssa Alvarado; Stephanie, Ricky, Andrew Rodriguez, Madeline, Nicholas Perez and one great-grandchild Lily Rodriguez.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, September 16, at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda followed by Interment Monday afternoon at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
