Anne was born on December 24, 1956 in Jacksonville, FL to parents Robert E. Woodbury and Judy Albin Woodbury. Anne moved many times with her family during her father’s military career and finally called Emporia, Kansas home in 1970 where she graduated from high school in 1974. Anne attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a degree in Advertising in 1978. Upon graduation from college, Anne moved to Los Angeles CA to pursue a career. She held many jobs (including a short time in the film industry) before she started her own company, Sidann Sales, an electronic component sales company. It was then that she met and fell in love with the love of her life, Tom Johnson. They were married and after a short time in Los Angeles, moved to Fremont, CA where they raised their family. After their children were grown, Tom and Anne moved to New Braunfels to be closer to Anne’s family.
Anne thoroughly loved life and enjoyed each day to its fullest. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, volunteering, traveling and spending time with her family, friends and her children’s friends. Her home was often full of teenagers, waiting for a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies to come from the oven. Her children lovingly called her “Mama” and their friends lovingly called her “Mom”. Because of her sincere interest in others, she had many friends. Everyone adored her. Anne faced life and death with courage, faith and an unwavering positive attitude. She never felt pity for herself. Even during her eleven month battle with cancer, she continued to help others in any way she could until her final days.
Anne leaves behind her husband Tom Johnson, son Garren Johnson of San Francisco Bay Area, CA and daughter Brittany Johnson of Kyle; stepdaughter Veronda (Johnson) McConville (Chet) of Sisters, OR and stepson Tom S. Johnson (Jonetta) of Stilwell, OK.
