Kyle-o-Meter challenges Hays CISD schools
The Kyle Chamber of Commerce is asking local schools to get active and promote a healthy lifestyle. The Hays CISD school with the most participants enrolled and running/walking in the Kyle-O-Meter 5K, which takes place Oct. 20, will receive $250 from the Kyle Chamber Kyle-O-Meter to improve fitness activities at that school.



Hays CISD Board of Trustee meeting schedule
The Hays CISD board meetings for the rest of the year will be held at Hays High School in the Technology Building. The schedule is below:

Don’t u luv me
An intense drama about dating violence will be performed at the Lehman High School Theatre. Shows times are 7 p.m. Oct. 11 and 12. Tickets are $5.


Kyle High School Reunion
Calling all Kyle High School alum – join former classmates beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 26 at the Kyle High School Gym (also known as the Kimbro Multipurpose Building). BBQ lunch available for $15 at the door.


Rethinking Dyslexia
Come join other families for a special free screening of the film “The Big Picture, Rethinking Dyslexia.” The screening will take place 6:30 – 8 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center. After the film, there will be a panel discussion with Hays CISD elementary and secondary dyslexia teachers, a Region 13 dyslexia specialist, a Hays CISD parent with a student who has dyslexia, as well as a student with dyslexia.
