The Hays Free Press will offer more regional news coverage through a syndication deal with In Fact Daily, an online only subscription news service covering Austin area issues and politics.
This arrangement allows the outlets to cross-publish select articles, offering In Fact readers more Hays County coverage and Hays Free Press readers expanded coverage of Austin and Travis County, particularly of regional news issues including transportation.
In Fact publisher Mike Kanin welcomed the news.
“As the central Texas region has grown, it has become more and more important to stay abreast of local political happenings throughout the region,” he said. “We expect that this relationship will reward readers of both publications in that regard.”
Kanin said most In Fact content will remain exclusive.
Hays Free Press Publisher Cyndy Slovak-Barton said she is happy with the partnership.
“With this partnership, we have the best of both worlds – local coverage of both Hays and Travis counties,” she said.
