Wyatt Jameson Birch, son of Leslie Ann Birch and Harvey Lonnie Birch Jr., is in the arms of his Heavenly Father as of August 16, 2012. We were not given the opportunity to see him smile or to even see him open his eyes, but no doubt he impacted our lives tremendously. He changed our lives. Leslie and I long for the day that we will all be reunited.
Wyatt lived within his mother’s womb for nine months, and during that time, he made a lasting impact on the many that loved him and prayed for him. He was delivered at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center on August 16 at 8:15 p.m., weighing seven pounds, five ounces. He had a cute button nose. Every treasured minute of his brief life inside the womb was sacred and was filled with love and joy. He passed peacefully inside the womb just hours before his long awaited debut. It was a short but very impacting life designed by his loving Creator.
Wyatt leaves behind his Mama, his Daddy, as well as grandparents Helen and Harvey Birch Sr. of Buda, grandparents Peggy and Terry Ferguson of Buda, great-grandmother Viola Hall of Austin, great-grandmother Floy “Muttsie” Gober of Arlington, and great-grandfather Hubert Gober of Arlington. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many family members and friends who will always miss and love Wyatt.
A memorial service was held at Hays Hills Baptist Church on Friday, August 24, 2012. A private family graveside service will be held at Live Oak Cemetery at a later date.
If you wish to honor baby Wyatt through a memorial gift, donations may be made to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, a nonprofit organization that provides remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with a free gift of professional portraiture. There is an established link entitled “In Honor of Wyatt” on the following website, https://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/donate/ Please donate to this great cause in lieu of flowers or other gifts to the family.
