Jamael Windom-Haynes of Kyle will be attending Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, this fall semester. Windom-Haynes is a graduate of Lehman High School.
Senior Master Sergeant Daniel Saucedo is now back home in San Marcos following retirement from the U.S. Army and active U.S. Air Force reservist. Saucedo enlisted in the Army in 1975, attending boot camp at Fort Ord, Calif. Following the conclusion of his duty with the Army in 1979, he joined the Air Force Reserves at Lackland Air Force Base. During his 26 years with the 433 Civil Engineering Squadron, Saucedo had military tours in Germany, Korea, Alaska, St. Lucia, United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan.
