Kyle Chamber of Commerce
by CAITLYN PESL
As the newly appointed Membership Director for the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce I’m eager to start working for an organization that has made me feel at home for the last few years. As the membership director, I will be managing all member relations for the Kyle Chamber. My role will assist in growing the organization as well as ensuring the chamber remains one of the most successful chambers in Texas.
I graduated from Texas State University – San Marcos with a B.A. in Mass Communications – Public Relations. While I was a student, I worked with the local Kyle non-profit, Hope & Love 4 Kids as an intern and served on the executive board for the Public Relations Student Society Association Texas State chapter for two years. During that time, I really got to see what Kyle had to offer. The people of Kyle welcomed me with open arms and I began to build a life here. I’m happy to be back in Central Texas. I left the area for a year to work in Houston but I don’t think my heart ever did. It’s good to be home.
The chamber was the first place I met people in Kyle. I’ve never felt so welcomed before and I’m excited to be a part of an organization that gives back. The chamber is a platform for all businesses – big or small – to grow and serve the community. As a chamber member, you have an avenue in which you can meet contacts that help better not only your business, but the community we live in.
Kyle is not merely the place we live or the place we work; it’s the town we chose to build a life in. This chamber and its members strive to be a part of people’s lives, not just their business. When you walk into chamber events you won’t find acquaintances, you’ll find friends. The people here take a stance on economic development, education and issues that are important to the business community. Here, you’ll find presidents of banks and hospitals, small business owners, non-profit organizers, community leaders and elected officials. They all have a common goal; to build the best “Simply Charming” town in Central Texas.
We welcome every individual and business to be a part of our “Simply Charming” community. For more information about how to join the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce, email me at [email protected], visit www.kylechamber.org or call our office at 512-268-4220.
