I attended the Buda City Council meeting June 19, 2012 and was pleased when they announced they had extended Manager Kenneth William’s contract an additional two years. Having been a resident of Buda for over 50 years I have seen a lot – a lot good, some not so good.
Mayor Sarah Mangham’s “no” vote left me wondering when she got so smart. The last year she worked as Finance Director for the City of Buda, the city books were a mess. The auditors found 14 major deficiencies after many extra hours of work. The following year after Ms. Mangham’s departure, the same auditors found only 4 minor deficiencies which was a savings of over $40,000 for the city taxpayers.
I don’t always agree with Manager Williams, but I think overall he has done a good job.
I commend the Buda City Council for extending Mr. William’s contract
