Jesus De Leon was born on October 13, 1919, in Kyle and passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012, in San Antonio. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and patriot, serving honorably in the US Army during WW II. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Mr. De Leon was preceded in death by his wife Emilia De Leon, and son Daniel De Leon. He is survived by his sons Gonzalo of Brownfield, Texas, and Jesse Jr. and wife, Mary of Buda; daughter Maria Peterson of Maxwell; sister Mere De Leon Gamez of San Marcos; four grandchildren Michelle, Erick, Christina, and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Andre and Brianna; and other family members.
The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Harrell Funeral Home, Kyle. The Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at St. Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church, Kyle, with Father Juan Carlos Lopez as the celebrant. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Austin.
