The Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Blood Drive will be held Thursday, Apr. 19 from 8 a.m. – noon in CTMC’s main classroom. Those who want to donate may sign up online at www.inyourhands.com.
Because of the continually increasing need for donations, the Blood Center of Central Texas encourages qualified donors to give blood regularly. According to the organization’s website, every community needs hundreds of donations each day to meet the demands for blood. The recommended donation amount is once a quarter, and up to two lives can be saved per donation.
“CTMC’s mission is ‘extending the healing ministry of Christ,’” notes David Erb, CTMC Lab Service Director, “Those who donate blood help to put that mission in motion and touch countless lives.”
