Kyle B.A.S.H.!
The Kyle Chamber of Commerce is hosting its monthly Ambassador’s B.A.S.H. from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 5 at the Plum Creek Golf Club in Kyle. There will be free food, music, drinks, door prizes and a putting contest for all interested community members.
Veterans parade
Veterans from Buda and Kyle will join with Austinites to welcome home Iraq vets. The parade will travel up Congress Avenue from Ann Richards Bridge to the Capitol at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 7. There will be a short ceremony at 11 a.m. on the south steps followed by a Job and Resource Fair at 11:30 a.m. downstairs in the Capitol Extension. Central Texas AMVETS Post 115, along with other organizations and businesses, will participate in the parade. Local veterans are encouraged to walk or simply watch the parade and attend the resource and job fair.
Firefighters Ball
The Hays County Fire Chiefs Association is hosting a Firefighters Ball at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 7 at the Embassy Suites in San Marcos. This black-tie event includes dinner, a silent auction and dancing with music provided by Texas State Little Big Band. Proceeds provide specialized classes to area firefighters and EMS personnel.
