Kyle resident John Fredrick Zedler, 55, has been charged wih the murder of his wife.
On Wednesday at approximately 12:50 am, Hays County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 500 block of Palomino Road in Kyle, for a 911 medical assist emergency call.
Mildred Zedler, 55, was transported to Seton Hays by San Marcos/Hays County EMS. Mildred Zedler was pronounced dead at Seton Hays at 1:32 am and medical staff contacted the Hays County Sheriff’s Office advising of a possible suspicious death.
During the ongoing investigation and after a forensic examination at Central Texas Autopsy in Lockhart, it was determined the death was a homicide.
Hays County Sheriff’s Office investigators obtained an arrest warrant from Justice of the Peace Beth Smith for John Fredrick Zedler. John Zedler was magistrated by Justice of the Peace Beth Smith and is currently in custody at the Hays County jail on a total bond of $435,000.
This investigation is still ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
