Hays CISD promotes four principals from within district
Four new Hays CISD principals will begin the 2012-13 school year with the recent approval from the Board of Trustees. The appointments are: Michelle Chae at Lehman High School, Teri Eubank at Barton Middle School, Rod Trevino at Dahlstrom Middle School and Rebecca Shea at Blanco Vista Elementary. Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Lyon said these campus leadership selections indicate the emphasis on leadership development in Hays CISD. Chae is the current principal at Hays CISD Simon Middle School. Eubank serves as the academic dean at Hays High School. Trevino is an assistant principal at Lehman High School. Shea is the assistant principal at Camino Real Elementary.
Summer lunch program
The Hays Consolidated Independent School District will continue its participation in the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) food service program this year. The program, subsidized by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, provides meals to all children 18 and under without charge.

Tom Green Elementary School

Scholarship for Catholic school tuition
The Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Austin is offering its first ever scholarship contest for students. Individuals can enter to win a $1,000 scholarship for Catholic School tuition from Parker School Uniforms. The contest is open until June 15. Visit www.csdascholarship.com to enter.
